Im getting artifacts in WWE 2k23 with my 7900xtx with recent drivers. Images below. It was the same for WWE 2k22. Just thought Id report this to you guys. Cause the game is unplayable for me in this state and Im hoping you guys can fix this.
You need to wait new release driver version when it will officially mention support WWE 2k23. If you lucky, AMD will help to fix this.
Upscaling the game to 4k using virtual resolution seems to have fixed the flashing artifacts. Go figure this one out.
That does seem to be the case for me.
I've just got a 4K Dell Monitor today and those multi coloured pixels have gone lol
On my Gigabyte 1440p Monitor I still had those annoying flashing artifacts, hour later after hooking up my Dell 4K monitor then those are fixed & gone
2K have fixed the textures but that seems to be a 1440p issue with AMD GPUs
I'm also having this issue and Virtual Resolution (actually made it like 10x worse) did not help at all sadly. 7900 XTX (screenshots are normal 1440p issues)
Thanks for the posts.
Please could you provide the following information so we can investigate?
Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
Driver 22.40.37.01
Windows 10
Using a 1440p LG Monitor 165hz
Everything High (doesnt matter happens on standard)
Literally just play the game (doesn't happen in menus) - example: do a quick match One on One choose any character - watch an entrance you'll see artifacts mostly in the top left or right areas. If you are in a match look towards the crowd or like if you hit a move that looks at the ceiling its pretty quick.
The Artifacts dont stay long but are very disorienting when they flash colorful rainbows for a second lol
From what i've gathered i've spoken to a few people with 7900 XT and 7900XTX they all have this problem- nobody really else.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=822YhDW7VKk heres a video from the screenshots
you can really see the artifacts when he's at the ring. (Look top right for the most part)
@Matt_AMD I believe I sent a ticket into 2K's website last year for WWE 2K22 as well.
Since I had the same (And still do on WWE 2K22) problem, I'll also post my specs to see if that helps.
Steps to reproduce: I got artifacting on created arenas, "vintage" arenas. If I selected a normal current arena, I didn't see any artifacting. Only created and arenas which used film grain. And from what I gathered last year, it appears to be an AMD GPU issue only. A friend has a competitor GPU and we didn't experience the artifacting on their GPU using my setup. Hope this helps.
XFX 310 Merc 7900xtx Black Edition
23.3.1
Windows 11 pro
Asus TUF VG279qla1 1080 native rez 165hz displayport
Highest settings
Play the game below 4k. At 1080 resolution the game is just a mess of rainbow squares. The higher the refresh rate below 4k, the worst things get.
--------------------------------------------
Also texture corruption on character models as shown below.
I've just switched from a NVIDIA GPU to AMD 7900 XTX and wondered what the hell this was lol
Pleased i'm not the only one because thought my New GPU was acting up
Seems to be in myrise mode only but not tested it enough
Thanks for the additional information, we'll investigate.
I'll update the discussion once the issue is resolved.
I have the same problem with the character models.
I too am having the same problem bought the game and haven't been able to enjoy it because of the pixels and texture corruption on character models my pc is as followed
7900XTX
WWE 2K23 Graphical issues still remain after the recent driver update
Noticed that even on real Wrestlers I changed the attire to Cora jades heel version and then I had all this black pixel stuff around her neck like in My rise mode lol
When is this getting fixed ?
Next driver update ?
@Rockywhu We might need to put in a ticket with 2K as well so both sides have bug reports. I only have 2K22, but I see the issues are still affecting 2K23.
Yeah I literally did this just yesterday and showed them this thread
2K did listen to me in the past when I told them Managers(Caw Managers) were disappearing on entrances
So I'll do my best to try and help solve it nw
I don't see any issues like this on any other games
I just checked my email & i've got a promising response right here!
I'll keep you updated & I have also told them what you told me, that it's been happening since WWE2K22
That's good to hear. I know 2K22 is a lost cause, but hopefully they'll fix it for 2K23. I don't plan to purchase that until its on sale anyway if at all, lol.
Lol yeah I don't blame you mate
Really bad that it's like this and it's not been fixed tbh
I am getting this too. I have a 7900XTX.
Like others, I get black boxes or pixels on the characters faces and necks. I won't post a screenshot because it's the same as the screenshots above in the thread.
Is there going to be some kind of fix for this? It's obviously a wide spread issue.
I told 2K about this & they responded a few days ago telling me the issue has been sent to their specialised department
So hopefully we don't have to wait that long for a fix, i'm waiting for another answer so i'll update this thread when get it
Only sad issue is that 2K has known about this since 2K22 they just don't seem to care or able to fix it. I hope your email works for our sake
Yeah thankfully it did lol
Just to add, as far as I know it's only ever happening on certain AMD GPUs.... not sure why but maybe AMD can answer that lol
My old RTX 3070 didn't show these issues so maybe it's because these Newer Cards still have some bugs that need to be ironed out with a few games
I'm still surprised that GreatnessRD above^ still has the same issue on WWE2K22
It's not right that both AMD & 2K between them haven't fixed that either
I am having the soulless black eyes issue with my CAWs. It only happens during entrances and other cut scenes. I did notice it on NPCs during MyRise when involved in conversations. I read on Reddit that it had something to do with only AMD processors and a fix was to remove the eyelashes. I did that and it worked to a certain extent, but I have a lot of CAWs and I am not going to go back and do that for all of them. You would also have to do the eyelash thing for those you download from Community Creations. It does work but it is a ridiculous hassle. I had no issues whatsoever with 2K22.
My PC specs are...
GPU
Radeon RX 570 Series
Primary/Discrete
VRAM
4096 MB
GDDR5 1750 MHz
CPU
AMD Ryzen 3 2300X Quad-Core Processor
4 Cores
RAM
32 GB
So 2k emailed me back confirming the issue has been sent to their department
They are aware of the issue now & I guess we'll see if all these graphic corruptions are fixed in their next patch
Full reply below
Hey Rocky,
Thanks for your understanding!
Please be reminded that the appropriate team has been notified of the issue. However, we do not have visibility on their progress, and therefore don't have a timeline on when a fix will be implemented.
Rest assured that your issue will be handled regardless of the status of this ticket, as your information rests in their hands. I understand that a quick resolution would be optimal but I'm unable to provide that at this time.
If you have any other questions or in need of further explanation, please let me know!
Kind regards,
Mario F.

New patch 1.08 released from 2k and I see the black/brown texture issues appear to be fixed after a quick look.
Hope this is the case for everyone else
Good to see they fixed it for y'all.
Please could users playing the game confirm that the game patch has fixed the issue?
aun no tienen nada con warzone?
The artifacts still persist as shown in my first post. That problem isnt fixed.
The texture on the other hand have been fixed. No more issues there.
The artifacts is a driver problem because using dvxk-proton to force the game to run from DirectX 12 to Vulkan fixes the issue.
Also running the game at 4k clears out the artifacts.
Anything below 4k is when the game has problems.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll pass this along.
I can confirm that since I got a 4K monitor the artifacts disappeared for me also.
1440p monitor Gigabyte issue I think with those artifacts yet I didn't have that on my 3070 Nvidia card at 1440p with same monitor on WWE 2K23
Textures fine now and everything looks good on my system
7900 XTX and Ryzen 9 5900x CPU if helps
Hello everyone, unfortunately I have the same problem
Yesterday I reinstalled WWE2k22 and I have problems with the artifacts there too. So something in their engine and the RX 7900 XTX is probably really broken, the question is whether it's AMD, 2k or both, the relevant parties should work together on this, because if a problem wasn't fixed in the previous game and in the The successor, which has been out for more than 3 months, is not fixed, something can be wrong and should be tackled
I previously had another AMD card in the same computer because I didn't have the artefacts, when it broke I installed my old Geforce 2600 Super, no problems there either. Then the RX 7900 XTX arrived, I installed it and I've had the artefact issues ever since.
In addition, it often takes a long time when I make changes to the squad or friends/opponents of the wrestlers in the game on MyUniverse, it takes forever to save and sometimes I have a black screen, can you confirm that for you too?
I also wrote to 2k support, went through the usual points, reinstall drivers, msconfig, divx, etc. version 23.5.2. I have everything set to standard, never changed anything on the system, etc.
In NBA2k23 the game crashes when I want to visit the promenade at the silver deck. There, however, a post on steam helped me that if I turn off the shadows, I can then enter the area, which is actually the case.
I doubt 2K is gonna do anything about 2K22 since they've moved onto 2K23. I think posted above the issues are fixed on 2K23, but good luck with 2K22. @Temgard
Hello
Im sorry then you understand me wrong.
The Problem still exists in WWE2k23, I play it a hour ago and still the many ugly grafikblocks exists
Also that the loading in Menus or saving took often a long time, sometimes screen goes black and normally the game continue, sometimes it crashes.
Strange colors appear around the edges of my screen and this is especially noticeable at the entrance I don't have this problem with any other game my graphics driver is up to date
I am facing the same issue with my 6700XT,already sent them bug report twice .Why Amd is not fixing this problem is beyond me, WWE 2k23 released months ago.
