Logged into play Doom Eternal, was running the current stable drivers aka 21.6.1
A notice comes up saying I have to update to 21.7.2 (which are optional and tbh I've had bad experiences using those in the past). So I updated and can play now.
Since updating to it my main monitor sometimes goes blank when I change my profile from (eg) my oc settings to normal/idle profile.
To resolve this I have to go into the display tab and turn freesync off and on again for the screen to go back to normal!
My question is why is this 'optional' update being forced on us to play??
