corrupt driver download

video card: RX 470

Operating System: Ubuntu 16.04.04

(tried download from Windows 10 also)

I'm trying to download a driver from this link:

_https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-for-Linux-Release-Notes.aspx

actual download link:

_https://www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/ubuntu/amdgpu-pro-18.10-572953.tar.xz

The file seems to be corrupt on download. I tried firefox, chrome and wget (with a referrer specified)

~/Downloads$ sha1sum amdgpu-pro-18.10-572953.tar.xz

ef85fd2367a5896c58b9a75a657ced1590fc6aa8  amdgpu-pro-18.10-572953.tar.xz

~/Downloads$ file amdgpu-pro-18.10-572953.tar.xz

amdgpu-pro-18.10-572953.tar.xz: data

~/Downloads$ xz --test amdgpu-pro-18.10-572953.tar.xz

xz: amdgpu-pro-18.10-572953.tar.xz: File format not recognized

~/Downloads$ tar -Jxvf amdgpu-pro-18.10-572953.tar.xz

xz: (stdin): File format not recognized

tar: Child returned status 1

tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

looks like this is a common issue that is still not resolved:

Ubuntu AMDGPU-Pro 17.40-492261 driver file corrupt

Linux AMDGPU-PRO 17.50 download possibly corrupt

Re: [Ubuntu 16.04] Can not extract amdgpu-pro archive

and these are just from the amd site.

Are there any mirrors for drivers? or alternative download links?
