Previously I was able to use the AMD Software to record gameplay and then edit it. Now when I got to the Record & Stream tab I can see the files, but when I select them I get a black screen. When I hit play I get an error with no information and a "Download from the Microsoft Store" button that does not open the Microsoft store. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, with no change. I can go to the file location and open the file using Windows Media Player with no problem, so I know that the AMD Software is recording properly, but I cannot use the AMD Software to playback and edit the recordings. Any advice or recommendations would be welcome. I've seen some say to go purchase the .99 cent HEVC extension from the Microsoft Store, but I was previously able to edit, so I don't think that is the issue.
Black screen
Useless "error" pop-up when trying to play recorded video
Hey I am sorry I don't have a solution but did you manage to find one? I have been having this problem for a while now.
Thanks.
I have the same thing, latest drivers 2024-01.
Videos recorded with adrenaline do not want to play. I press play and they don't play. (AV1) . I have downloaded the program from the Microsoft store "AV1 Video Extension"
Movies with the AVC codec do not play and not which ones, after pressing play, the information "download from microsoft store" is displayed, but it cannot be downloaded, nothing happens after pressing download.
Some solution ?
Thanks for the suggestion with the AV1 Video Extension, it seems like my windows did not have it installed by default and has seemed to help with the AV1 videos. I a workaround I used to view the videos before was to download VLC and open them from the video source folder.
But now the videos are playing in adrenaline software? These movies in the media directory still do not play even though I have downloaded the AV1 extension.
I've updated to 24.1.1 and done a fresh reset of Windows and the issue persists. Adrenalin records with no issue and I can go to the file location and view the file, but it will not playback in the Adrenalin software.
