AMD's exceptional price-to-performance ratio is the primary factor driving my purchasing decisions. Their CPUs and GPUs consistently deliver outstanding value compared to the competition. This compelling offering has solidified AMD as my go-to choice for hardware upgrades.

As a Linux only user, I only consider AMD products for the strong open source support and how GPUs do not have issues with drivers compared to competitor products. Both for CPU and GPU. This even extends to the Freesync feature in most monitors and TVs, which I appreciate.

With that aside, I then consider price to performance first, second the dimensions of the card with how it fits and whether it covers too many PCIE slots (I do use other PCIE slots), third fan/noise profile, and lastly power efficiency.

Thank you for the continued support and commitment to Linux and open source.

Honestly, all of the above. Been using AMD GPU's for a long time based on the price:performance ratios.

Can never afford the top end GPU's but AMD have a great range of upper/mid GPU's. Radeon software has got better and better over time. HD5770 was an amazing budget card, and the HD7970 was a great mid/high end GPU.

I made the switch to AMD CPU's waaaay back in the day when AMD released the first 1Ghz Athlon chip. Favourite chip was the Phenom II X6. That CPU lasted until 2019, overclocked by 15% on air. (And it didn't fail, I just finally upgraded)

What influences your decision to buy an AMD product?

That is an easy question to answer. Building a rig that has all of its core components from the same company feels right, and just makes sense.  AMD has the chipset, cpu and gpu components all under one roof. When it comes to AMD gpu's, my choice has always been to buy Sapphire gpu's, as they are a sole partner with AMD.

II built my first desktop in the very early 1990's (1991-92) with an AMD 386SX on a SuperMicro board.  Performance and experience has never let me down  Used ATI GPU's from the beginning and when AMD bought the ATI franchise I new things would get better, not that I ever had any complaints with ATI.  Intel was always overpriced for the performance they provided.

Been building with AMD ever since.

If it ain't broke; don't fix it!

With AMD, exceptional performance is always guaranteed, which is why I continue to choose and trust their products. Additionally, the support and dedication of the AMD team have consistently exceeded my expectations. Love it!

It's well known that AMD is on top of the game in terms of CPUs and GPUs, offering great performance and value for your money.
Fun fact: my AMD Ryzen 5 2600 is the only part of my 6-year-old PC that’s never given me any trouble, along with my Corsair power supply.

What influences me to buy AMD products? More often than not, I find AMD to be more affordable than Nvidia, even if slightly so. I also like that with AMD, I can tune my GPU in the Adrenaline app, instead of having to download 3rd party software. And I trust Sapphire more than I trust most other AIBs (like Asus, etc), and Sapphire is AMD-only.

What influences me to buy anything is the price to performance which amazing on most AMD products.

For me is the ratio price-performance. AMD is (and was) the champion on that department.

I'm new here but I'm in love with AMD. The performance in relation to the price is just unbeatable and I love the asthetics. Just beautiful overall.

All of the above! Picking a GPU is always about hitting the right balance of price and performance, while making sure you're buying from a brand you trust. Right now the performance level and VRAM are both key areas, with VRAM being (generally) the area where AMD has a clean win.

Thanks for the opportunity to enter.   Good luck to all.

What influences me to buy anything is the price to performance.  In my experience Amd has always had that from the Athlon and Phenom to todays Ryzen 7.  I have only owned AMD gpus.  I cant wait till a 7950x3d is in my rig and I will feel like I can accomplish anything my boss, or my gaming friends ask of me.  My current card is a Sapphire r9 290, still rockin but its just not cutting it for new releases.  This card looks amazing though and will perform stunningly!

The winner is super lucky to be gifted this AND

Sapphire is stellar!

Price to performance value is important for me when shopping for PC component upgrades. Midrange performance fits my needs and its where my budget usually tops out at. AMD currently offers a better value for midrange GPUs than the other team that has blatantly handicapped their traditionally midrange tiers to force the consumer to pay more for acceptable midrange performance and longevity. AMD is my choice for the next upgrade and I am hoping for a 7800 XT or 7900 GRE in my build.

Price to performance by far, but also how AMD feels like it's catering to gamers in all situations with releasing new AM4 chips for people who can't afford a complete upgrade overhaul to fact that their flagship GPUs don't cost an arm and a leg *like the competition*.

I have always been partial to AMD.  Their community is one of the best, I have met so many new gamers from events and have enjoyed gaming even more.  This is due to the AMD computer I had built for myself.  In the games I have enjoyed AMD has outperformed all others.

Price is no concern as long as you are happy with what you have.

That the TDP is equal to or less than 120W that also has 16GB or more of VRAM at a price of 700 or 800USD for a special edition, if it is at 500USD better. That I can use Next Gen games and use AMD's FSR technology that surpasses NVIDIA to use 4K in design, streaming and gaming programs and be able to build a PC without having to spend 1800USD, yes sir. 😎👍🏻

The best thing of all would be the dissipation and that it is not at 60C° to 70C° all the time with a speed between 2000mhz to 2800mhz and 120fps to 150fps stable.

And it should last 4 or more years depending on how the updates go.

That it has good stability with my CPU and is compatible with it, so that I can get the maximum performance and benefit from my computer without having to OC.

Hey y'all

I'm mostly here for the price to performance. I've been on amd for 6 years now and I'm happy to say I haven't had a single issue.

Thanks!

Have a good day y'all!

The main thing is value; Intel's stuff is a good bit more expensive.
Lower heat, better price/performance..
Just hoping i can upgrade to am5 like i want to.

I went with AMD's 7800x3d for my new gaming rig since it out performs all other CPUs for gaming. I have been using AMD CPUs and GPUs since Socket A.

I buy AMD products because of their competitive pricing, and outstanding gaming performance. My cpu has been the most reliable part of my build, and by far the most future proofed. Even though it is over 5 years old, it can still destroy anything I throw at it.

I will stick with AMD as long as ya'll are around!

I choose AMD because of their proven trust and reliability. For the past five years, AMD has been my go-to for GPUs, and they've consistently delivered. I know I can count on their products to meet my needs every time

My experience is that late AMD cards I've chosen are cool and quiet. And that's my main choice for AMD cards. Secondly I have an AMD platform and I love when the CPU, chip and GPU work in unison and all features from AMD are active. Also less software;)

For me it's the generally high core counts for CPU, and the excellent Linux support for GPU. Having All AMD hardware has meant I've never even had to think about drivers or support, no matter which weird flavour of Linux I am running. It just works, trouble free.
