Community Resources

We want your opinion on a new discussion topic!

Hey everyone,

Sometimes things we post end up in off-topic discussions and don't actually feel off-topic (like this post) and need a new home in the community. With that, we wanted to see what you all thought about launching a "Community Resources" discussion.

This discussion would hold posts including how-to posts, ranking information, guides for areas in the Red Team Community, and posts from your Admins.

Let us know what you think in the comments, or just by liking this post 🙂

An area where we can post 'how to' articles would be nice to have.

As Albert Einstein said, "I could have done so much more with a Big Al's Computer!".

I believe a Poll/Opinion discussion would be better. That there is one discussion that covers everyone opinions and polls about anything.

Seems like many  or most of the threads at Red Team are basically Polls or getting everyones opinions about something.

I used to post 'how to' articles in some forums over the years.  Here's an example from 2005:  chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.bigal-computers.net/bigal/Custom%20Logo%20Mod%20July%202005.pdf

I think there is probably a happy medium on the number of 'discussions'. Right now it does feel like there aren't enough areas to post. (I end up just putting everything I post in 'Off-Topic'.

You certainly don't want too many discussion areas, or that would just get messy.  My 2 cents.

I feel like a number of the items you discussed could still fit under the Gaming / Off-Topic spaces. However, I totally agree that there is value in creating this Community Resources section, as long as it is well utilized.
