Ryzen 7700X Integrated Graphics and Adrenaline Drivers Have Tons of Issues

Hi,

I am in between graphics cards right now so I was going to use my 7700X iGPU with my MSI B650 Pro Wifi. The Mobo supposedly has HDMI 2.1 and support for 4K 60Hz so I plugged it into my LG C2 over HDMI. I have latest Mobo bios and Adrenaline drivers 24.12.1. I know the HDMI cable and Monitor both work as I was just using them with a GPU at 4K 120Hz 4:4:4 HDR.

I've been tearing my hair out for HOURS trying to get this thing usable. I've had the following issues and would really appreciate any advice or bug fixes.

  1. Default driver settings have no display out
    1. Had to boot into safe mode and use DDU to uninstall drivers
    2. Had to race to install adrenaline edition drivers before windows installed them because Windows defaults to settings that don't work
  2. Adrenaline "Display" settings have NO recovery system built in!
    1. When you change a display setting in Windows or in Nvidia control panel, it gives you 30 sec to accept the change or it reverts, so if you select a bad setting and don't a display out it recovers
      1. AMD drivers don't have this! Every time I accidentally picked something that didn't work I lost my display out and had to restart into safe mode or low resolution mode. Is there anyway to set an automatic recovery option like every other display software ever made?
  3. Won't output above 4:4:4 under seemingly any circumstances
    1. My display looks awful, I cannot get display out on anything other than 4:2:0 YCbCr, every time I pick a new setting I get no display out and I need to reboot into safe mode/low resolution mode
      1. It does not matter if I choose 8bit, 10bit or 12bit.
      2. All RGB setting result in no display out
    2. It has also glitched out and showed 4:4:4 but still obviously at 4:2:0
  4. Won't output 120Hz at any resolution
    1. I have attempted to set 120Hz and 119Hz at multiple resolutions all the way down to 800x600, and I get no display out
  5. I cannot view all driver settings in low resolutions
    1. I keep using low resolution mode and low resolutions so I can get a display out. However, at low resolutions the Adrenaline Drivers don't display all settings? At 800x600 I can only see RGB 4:4:4 settings not the YCbCr or RGB 4:2:2 settings. Using the arrow keys to scroll down the list does not work either.

How do I get these things to work? AMD does not list the output resolution, HDR support, refresh rate support etc for their own iGPU. Whatever the iGPU is reporting to windows is unusable and causes a display out. I understand that the Mobo port also influences things but why on Earth is the mobo and iGPU not reporting resolutions, refresh rates, and color spaces that it can actually use?

Every time I lose display out I need to force shut down my computer, start it up, interrupt the start up by powering it down during Windows boot so I can start it up again in Windows recovery mode to enable safe mode/low resolution mode. Then it restart it again to boot into those special modes to get a display out.

Also, this forum won't let me pick the PC Graphics board? Has it been removed for something?
