7800X3D Not Showing All Threads (Only 8 Instead of 16) on MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI
Problem Description:
After installing my new Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU on my MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI motherboard, I noticed that my system only detects 8 threads instead of the expected 16.
Details:
- SMT (Simultaneous Multi-Threading): Currently set to "Auto" in the BIOS. However, I do not see an option to manually enable it.
- BIOS Version: 7D75v1L2 (Beta version).
- Steps Taken: Confirmed BIOS settings and ensured SMT is set to "Auto."
I would appreciate guidance on resolving this issue. Could this be related to the beta BIOS version, or is there another setting I might have missed?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

UPDATE: Solved it for me!
I disabled the "X3D Gaming Mode" in the BIOS settings. After I booted back up in to Linux, I had 16 threads again.

I am also having this issue. I did have 16 threads and now only 8. The BIOS reports that Hyperthreading features on the CPU are N/A which is obviously not true. I have the MSI Tomahawk X670E motherboard. Running the Beta BIOS version 7E12v1G2 (dated 11-28-2024). I'm running Linux but had 16 threads until recently.
