In Blender's start up scene I switched to ProRender than added a plane.
I gave both the plane and the cube the default shader and the default Sun&Sky.
When I try the viewport render the cube casts a shadow the cube it selfs seems to be missing.

Can you check and post that the alpha (opacity) channel is correct?

Yes, sorry about taking long I can't get to my pc until the 27th.
I'm also having this same issue, I noticed it only occurs when there is more than one object in the scene though. I've tested this on the latest public version(1.6.59) and also the beta posted in the discord(1.6.180) with the same issue being present.
