Found solution I had to turn onboard audio off in bios then uninstall and drivers witht he and clean up and reinstall them it was getting confused thinking it already had audio driver so wouldn't install the video card audio then restart computer turn on board audio back on and install the rest of those driver all sorted... Pain in the behind but figured it out

It sounds like your system isn't recognizing the display audio over DisplayPort or HDMI after the upgrade. Try these steps:

  1. Check BIOS settings: Ensure that onboard audio (if using onboard sound) or the GPU audio output is enabled.
  2. Reinstall GPU drivers: Even if you've installed the drivers, try reinstalling the latest drivers for your RX 580 from AMD’s website.
  3. Check Sound Settings: Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar, go to "Playback Devices," and see if the display or HDMI audio is listed. If not, try right-clicking and enabling or setting it as default.
  4. Use a Different Cable/Port: Sometimes a faulty cable or port can cause this issue, so swapping cables or ports could help.
  5. Windows Audio Troubleshooter: Run the audio troubleshooter again to see if it picks up any issues.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, check whether your GPU's DisplayPort audio feature is enabled and ensure it's not being overridden by other settings.
