Experience the DeepSeek R1 Distilled 'Reasoning' Models on AMD Ryzen™ AI and Radeon™

Hi.

I installed LM Studio and Deepseek r1. I used Amd Community blog post tutorial (the title). The problem is that after a minute I have used LM Studio & deepseek r1 its crash. My monitors go black and pc is not react any keypad or mouse buttons. I need to push pc start button.

 

I have tried both newest/second newest LM Studio and two different version of deepseek r1 (llama 8b and qwen 14b). The performance should not be an issue because it can handle fast the "chat".? Also I installed the newest Adrenalin software edition 25.1.1 as adviced in blog post.

 

I have Amd Ryzen 9 5900X and Amd Radeon rx 6800 XT.  This crashing happens only when I using LM Studio and when I have start using deepseek r1?

Hi again.

 

I already uninstalled Adrenalin edition 25.12.1 and went back 24.12.1. But still computer crash when I start using deepseek r1 via LM Studio...?

 

Maybe I should start using some other software than LM Studio... or change grachips card.
