Rendering with an AMD GPU?

Hi guys, I'm pretty new to 3DS max and had to pick it up because of my modelling course in architecture. We've started rendering our models in 3dsmax when I came across a problem where the app would tell me that my GPU couldn't load its CUDA cores which I assume is a Nvidia thing. I have RX 5500xt (which is AMD) that I upgraded to during the start of the year and only now realized that I can't render using it. Our professor is also telling us to use a denoiser but i cant use that either because it requires CUDA cores so even if I use my CPU to render, i cant use the denoiser as well. We're also using Arnold to render if that helps. Is there anyway for me to render my models better without just replacing my GPU for a nvidia one?
