macOS beta versions of the Radeon™ ProRender plug-in for Blender™ and the Radeon™ ProRender plug-in for Maya® are now available for Apple users to download and test today.

Radeon ProRender is our fast, easy, and incredible physically-based rendering engine for CAD designers and 3D artists that is freely available for many popular digital content-creation applications with plug-ins and add-ins for Autodesk® 3ds Max®, Autodesk® Maya®, Blender™, and Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS®. It is also natively integrated into Maxon’s Cinema 4D™ version R19.

Today we are pleased to announce that in addition to the already available macOS™ version of Cinema 4D R19, artists and designers using Apple® hardware can now also benefit from all that Radeon ProRender has to offer when working with Blender and Autodesk Maya by using beta versions of our plug-ins for macOS.

Apple Metal 2 Support

What’s more, Radeon ProRender is now the first production renderer to support Apple’s Metal® 2 API that maximizes the potential of GPU-accelerated rendering on macOS. Metal 2 support is available in the recent SP2 update to the macOS version of Cinema 4D R19 and in today’s beta macOS releases of Radeon ProRender for Blender and Maya.
