AMD Ryzen™ 7 8700G to drive a Monitor with 5.120 x 2.160 Resolution @120 Hz

Hi all

I am looking to build an office system centered around a Monitor with a resolution of 5.120 x 2.160 @120 Hz.

Does anyone know if the Ryzen 7 8700G can drive that (and what Motherboard would support that output)?

Any Feedback is greatly appreciated

 

P.S. I know this Combo will NOT perform well for gaming...it doesn't have to

so it does seem like the 8700G does support the DP Resolution and probably at that frequency. Your problem will be in finding a Motherboard that outputs 5K@120hz.

You will need to look at the Motherboard's Specs for DP and HDMI Maximum Resolutions and Frequencies to determine if it will output 5K@120hz.

why shouldn't the cpu do it?
If it's just a matter of pure image reproduction, yes.

an a620 should be able to handle 4k.
