5 gen of Ryzen is the last and final gen for x470 motherboards? Will there be any CPU refresh soon?

Currently on R5 1600 - Asus X470-F Strix - BIOS 4207. I am very close to buy 5600x.

Is there any bridge BIOS or do I need just to update to the latest with R1600 and then put 5600x in my PC?

Last couple of days I read forums and I find couple of problems like this:

Couple of users on that link reported same problem. This is just a bad luck, right?

There is supposedly a B2 stepping version going into production, then a new 3D-Vcache version in Q1 2022.

Plenty of info on the web.

Problem wise on the current gen. (5600x), well some may skip past QA. most will be user/incorrect bios settings/incompatible ram or one of the early dodgy out of spec mobos.

I looked upon the internet and can't find information about AM4 x470 support for that 3D-Vcache CPU-s.

What would you do in this situation:

- buy 5600x immediately 

- wait for black friday

- wait for B2 version (XT?)

- wait for 3D-Vcache CPU

?

According to the latest news, it seems that the B2 revision is NOT a "boosted" version of the 5600X. It is just a production stepping, with the same specs and expected performance as the current 5600X.

If you buy a new one today, it may already be a B2.

Also, beyond the 5000 series, a new socket is expected, so new motherboard, maybe need to switch to DDR5, an all new platform overall.
