How do I fix the disaster that is the Spectre/Meltdown security patch released by Microsoft. I realize my Laptop is not really supposed to be running windows 10 but you know Microsoft... they kinda sorta forced it on me by saying that my laptop could handle it. MY Laptop is running much slower since the update... here is what I did to try fixing it.
1. Uninstalled the security patch
- Temporarily fixed the problem until it auto updated again
- Can't pause updates with Home Edition.
