Ryzen 9 7900X on X670 Gaming X AX (rev. 1.0) CPU Red Light on mobo.
When I restart Windows 11 it will start to reboot and consistently fail with the red CPU error light on the mobo.
I have reset the bios. I'm using the latest F30 version.
Often the mobo reset button will not reset and reboot the mobo but when I hold the power button down for 4 seconds it will shut down.
When I power it on again I usually get the same red CPU light on the mobo.
Sometimes it does start up with no red light and boots into Windows 11 fine.
On occasions previously the Ethernet port would stop working. Device Manager would not show the built-in Ethernet. I added an Intel Ethernet card and it worked.
I removed the CPU, reseated it and added a water cooler (3-fan system).
The built-in Ethernet now works again but the same intermittent CPU red light issues remain.
I have decades of experience building PCs but I have not been able to fix this.
Can anyone please help?
Thanks.

dt-techie, if you have not, please talk to your MB vendor. The myriad of problems sounds more like an MB problem. John.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it could well be a mobo problem.

The motherboard has a 3 year warranty. It is really a great mobo for my needs except for these problems. I do have other PCs but going through a returns process for my main PC will be a major hassle.

I should also add that when I "sleep" from Windows 11, it will also wake up properly and resume where I left off.
