ryzen 1800x ddr4 quad chanel?

Hi guys i have

ryzen 1800x

asus b450-f gaming

and 2*8gb G.Skill F4-3200C16D-16GBFX Flare X

I wonted to buy another kit of 2*8gb of the same memmory and install

do you think the processador will work in quad chanel at 2133 with this memorys ?

as a rule it is best to buy a kit for the total of amount of RAM Memory you are planning on installing.

But if you purchase the exact same Ram part number it will be less of a chance of being incompatible with the other RAM you have installed even though that isn't guaranteed.  Only a RAM Kit of 4 sticks will be guaranteed of being compatible since the Manufacturer tested it before putting it together as a kit.

16 GB is fine for today's computers and gaming. But if you add another16 GB of RAM Memory it wouldn't hurt plus it might be a little more efficient when Gaming or Multi-tasking or running memory hungry programs in the future.

Yes it will run as Dual Channel since your motherboard doesn't support Quad Channel RAM. Both the Processor and Motherboard must support Quad Channel Memory for it to work.

In my case, when I upgraded to a Ryzen PC from a AM3+ PC, I purchased a kit of 2 -16GB RAM Memory (total of 32GBs) to install in my computer. I made sure that the RAM was listed on the Motherboard's QVL List and also at the RAM manufacturer's website.

Before on my AM3+ Motherboard I had a kit of 4-4GB RAM sticks installed on my motherboard without issue for many years until one of the RAM sticks went bad. Then the RAM Manufacturer wanted me to send in all 4 RAM sticks to replace the bad stick which will prevent me from having a computer for a while. Luckily I ordered the same exact RAM but for single usage and it worked fine and seemed to be compatible.

According to the your Asus  Motherboard Specs if you install 4 sticks they will run in Dual Channel: https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b450-f-gaming-model/spec

Your Motherboard should have 2 DIMM slots of one color and another 2 DIMM slots with a different color. The same color DIMM slots will always run in Dual Channel. So if you populate both Colored DIMM slots they all will run in Dual Channel.
 
If your Motherboard had 4 DIMM slots all of the same color than most likely it will run in Quad Channel.

your saying in the worst cenario i will have two dual chanell configuration a2 with b4 and a1 with b3,

i dont know if it will pay off in increasing the performance,

because my 1800x  was build to handle 2133hz and reach 3200 it two modules it can handle,

but using 4 modules and trying to get 3200hz it could crash,

what do you recommend me doing?

maintain 2*8gb 3200hz or uprade to 4 modules 4*8gb ?
