Regarding warranty on an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x won from a giveaway.
Hello, I have a question regarding if I get warranty when I have won an AMD processor. How does that work and if it does work how would you present a proof of purchase? Would selling it nullify it in any way?
Would very much appreciate some light shed on this.
Regards,
Viktor

First AMD Warranty in Non-Transferable. Only valid to the Original Owner or purchaser with an official proof of Purchase or Ownership.
If you won the AMD processor you must contact the promoter to find out if your processor is covered by AMD Warranty or some other Warranty.
Another User that won an expensive GPU card from a direct AMD Giveaway was told that AMD Warranty is voided on AMD giveaways. The User needed to contact the AMD personal who sent him the email concerning the GPU card about how to get it RMAed.
So basically you must contact the person in charge of the giveaway to find out what Warranty is effective on your AMD hardware and how to get Warranty on it with the proper documentation.
All AMD Processor that is purchased in a Official AMD Retail sealed Box has a 3 year Warranty starting as soon the Retailer's own Return Date or Warranty expires.
