So, Ive been using my desktop for around 3 years now, and it hadn’t given me any trouble ever. Until today, everything worked fine, from the storage to the graphics card, nothing caused problems while utilizing the computer.
However, today I ran into something unexpected. While playing FIFA 23, a poorly optimized game that causes many devices to overheat, my PC blue screen crashed randomly. Worse than that, when booting it up, it got stuck in a solid light blue colored screen that was impossible to interact with, infinitely staying there until the PC turned itself off from inactivity. The only interaction possible was “Enter”, which flickered the screen with black bars.
After booting it up on advanced settings, I was able to load everything without a problem. However, my happiness was short lived, as after putting in my password and opening default windows settings, system stopped to work altogether, resulting in a blue screen crash. With this crash, the computer kept blue screening constantly every boot up.
Now, you might think that the problem is not correlated to the processor, but you’re wrong: average temperature while doing NOTHING is 50 degrees. While playing a game, it reaches 75+, resulting in a blue screen crash.
I haven’t cleaned the PC in some months and the thermal paste hasn’t been replaced ever since I got it, which is was 3 years ago.
