I would like to upgrade my processor from AMD Phenom 9550 on same motherboard. What are my options?

My system is a 2010 Gateway DX4200-UB001A, 64 bit OS, X64-based processor, AMD Phenom 9550 quad-core processor 2.20GHz, 8GB DDR2 memory max., EVGA 700W power supply.  Currently using Windows 10 Pro OS w / latest updates.  I would like to upgrade the Processor to a RYZEN 4, 6, or 8 core processor.  Would this work?

Phenom 9550 quad core is an AM2+ socket chip.

The Ryzen CPU's are AM4.

I'm afraid they aren't compatible, you would need a new motherboard and RAM to upgrade to the Ryzen chips.
