Will there be a difference in FPS coming from 3700x if I change to Ryzen 9 3900x or 3950x? Experts please give me at least the estimated added fps i'd get from 3900x vs 3950x. Thank you
Specs :
Ryzen 7 3700X
MSI RTX Gaming X Trio 2080 Super
32gb 3000mhz TForce Nighthawk RAM
MSI Gaming Edge Wifi X570 board
Main games installed in Samsung 970 Evoplus NVMe SSD
About 3 FPS average according to the reputable review sites, and these are games already getting >100FPS at 1920x1080 with a 3700X. Less as the resolution increases beyond 2560x1440 as the GPU becomes the limiting factor.
Hello again black! Thank you for the fast reply, Okay so it wouldn't be worth purchasing 3950x then since here in the Philippines its about $300 more than 3900x I'll just probably use that for a better sets of ram.
Yeah my main purpose is FPS since I play competitive fps(shooting) games. The store where I got my pc built said that probably June/August Ryzen 4000 is coming?
Possibly that early, maybe September, you never know with this virus situation.
True, might as well just upgrade my RAM huh. i currently have 32gb 3000mhz now, probably get 3600mhz?
The difference between the two is negligible as starting with Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000 series) there is a dedicated I/O die, and tight timing 3200mhz RAM is better than high timing 4000mhz. Techpowerup did a test at 1920x1080 with a RTX 2080 Ti.
Okay thanks, is there any best/recommended brand and frequency for Ryzen 3rd gen? 7 3700x specifically?
Personally I prefer the G.Skill Flare DDR4-3200 CL14, model F4-3200C14D-16GF. I just installed 2 more modules, making 4x8 for 32GB, and slightly overlclocked them to DDR4-3333. Combined with my manually set 4.3ghz all core 3700X, yields pretty respectable scores.
thank you so much!
The OP will not see material improvement for gaming with a more expensive CPU. Now if you are using the CPU for some brute force work like video encoding then it would matter.
yes sirr,, already cancelling plans of upgrading cpu, my main purpose is just gaming.. haha sooo I'll probably use that 600-800usd for some better stuff.. lol
I have an 80 plus platnum psu so my box does not waste energy, with oil yesterdat at -$40...
