Warzone stuttering its light but it will never stop and ruins gameplay on caldera(big map). Game works good on small maps (fortune keep and rebirth island) but game freezes for second with buzzing sound its not constant like stuttering on calder but it will happen one or two times during round on small maps. I have problems with warzone since I own gpu. I did try max settings and minimum settings, I did buy new hdd and m.2 ssd and more ram and problems are still there. I am playing at 1920x1080 resoulution and 144hz.
I am happy with 6700xt and other games work good but I wanted to play warzone without problems.
I now have 22.8.2 driver but I did try many older drivers.
My pc parts:
cpu: 2700x
gpu: 6700xt strix
ram: ddr4 4x8 3200mhz hyperx predator
mob: msi b450 tomahawk max
psu: seasonic 850w
I did notice warzone using over 11.4 gb ram and I did change VideoMemoryScale to 0.7 and that did fix freezing on all maps.
This is strange but with VideoMemoryScale set to 0.7 it will still happen but not every game and duration of freez will decrease with lower number set for VideoMemoryScale. With 0.7 value that freez is very short but if I set value to 1 freez will be much longer.
I will investigate more.
did you solve it?
I did respond below, do you have same problems or what problems you have? with warzone or other games.
you should follow this discussion: https://community.amd.com/t5/graphics/warzone-stuttering-with-6900-xt/m-p/521662#M84717 Maybe there you will find solution even warzone developers follow that one.
I did try warzone before few days because there was no update from amd and developers and video memory scale is still set to 0.7 and rendercount to 8 for ryzen 7.
Now warzone works perfectly. There is no short freezing and I even can play caldera with no stuttering. I didnt play warzone 9 months since I assembled pc because warzone did have problems on my pc.
I did give up didnt play it because of problems again. But before few days I did try it again and I was suprised all problems are gone.
