Space Marine 2 - 40 fps when idle and 20-25 during gameplay

When I'm playing Space Marine 2, I get 35-40 fps in the lobby zone, and during gameplay I get a stable framerate at 20-30. I know my CPU is technically below the recommended hardware but friends are running same CPU with comparable GPUs and getting 60+ fps.  So far I've:

  • Enabled Game bar / Disabled game bar overlay
  • Used AMD Clean Up Utility to clear all old drivers and installed current
  • Enabled Hyper-Ex mode in Radeon interface
  • Enabled High performance in power plan

In-Game Settings:

Display: Borderless

Resolution: 2560x1440

DisplayPort - Freesync Enabled

Render Resolution: Balanced

Resolution Upscaling: FSR2

V-Sync: Off

Motion Blur: Off

FPS Limit: 60

Quality: Medium
