Brand new setup:
GPU: Radeon Vega Frontier Edition
Driver: 18.Q1 Pro Enterprise edition
CPU: Ryzen 7 1800X 8 cores
RAM: 32GB (2 x 16 GB)
Mobo: Asus X370-Pro
Windows 10 64 bit
Boot drive: Intel 223GB SSD
When I reboot my machine, I cross my fingers and hope for the best. More often than not, the boot after the initial Windows logo, goes to a black screen - monitor complains that it gets no signal - while I can hear that windows is continuing to boot behind the black screen. I assume this is my graphics card failing somehow.
From other forums, like Tom's Hardware, I understand this not a rare occurrence. What's going on?
I have been an Nvidia Quadro user for many years, but healthy competition is good for all of us, right? So I decided to give AMD a try (on both GPU and CPU).
As it stands, I have a machine, I don't dare to turn off or reboot. This is not sustainable. Any suggestions to iron out this flaw?
