New computer: 8500G - blackscreen issues!

Hello everyone,

I've assembled a new office PC with the following components:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 8500G
  • RAM: Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16 GB) 6000 MHz
  • Motherboard: ASROCK A620 Pro RS (BIOS updated to the latest version)

I'm facing a serious issue with the integrated graphics (iGPU) on my Ryzen 5 8500G. On most monitors and even TVs, I get a "No Signal" message. The only monitor that works (with issues) is a Dell 32”. On this monitor, I'm able to access the BIOS and boot into Windows, but even that is inconsistent.

After installing the official AMD drivers on Windows, the monitor stops working entirely, and I have to boot into safe mode to uninstall the drivers to get any display at all. The system only works with the generic VGA drivers.

Here's what I have tried so far:

  1. Lowering RAM frequency to 3200, 5200, and other values, including using a single 16 GB stick instead of 2x16 GB.
  2. Disabled EXPO/XMP profiles and manually set RAM timings.
  3. Checked for BIOS updates and confirmed that I have the latest one installed.
  4. Used different ports (DisplayPort, HDMI), cables, and monitors – none of which resolved the issue except the Dell 32 monitor, which also behaves erratically.

I found on AMD's site that the maximum supported RAM frequency for the Ryzen 5 8500G is 5200 MHz, so I’ve manually set that in the BIOS, but the problem persists. Even at lower RAM speeds, the issue with iGPU remains.

Has anyone else encountered similar issues with Ryzen 5 8500G or a similar configuration? Could this be a problem with RAM compatibility, motherboard, or a possible hardware defect? Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a 8600G on hdmi out. 2560 x1440 with 144 hz i get sometimes black screen around 7 times a day .when switch programs screen come back. I buy then a good 1,5 meter hdmi cable(before was old and 2 meter). then i get the problem only 1 per 4 days or so.  I have a msi B650 chipset . maybe you test a shorter and better hdmi cable for 4k and 100 fps
