Wattman error, now one DP port not working

Hello,

yesterday I connected my new additional screen (144Hz, Freesync) via DP besides my existing Screen (60Hz, no Freesync, HDMI). This setup worked very well the whole day, but this morning the new screen stayed black and the startup took almost 2min (instead of 10sec). After Windows logon I saw for a few seconds a notification saying (Wattman [...] unexpected error), then the message disappeared.

I have only installed default AMD software, no overclocking and no special settings expect freesync and 144Hz.

Now I can get the new screen working only on the other diplay port on my Vega. So one of the both display port seems to be broken...

Here's my computer setup (purchased 6 weeks ago):

  • Ryzen 5 2600
  • 8GB PowerColor Radeon RX Vega 56 Red Dragon Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16
  • MSI B450 Gaming Plus AMD B450 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX Retail
  • 650 Watt Seasonic FOCUS Plus Modular 80+ Gold
  • be quite silend base 600

Is this a softeware issue or is my GPU damaged?

Thank you and regards,

Sam
