Radeon 5800 graphic card is in the past fixed with an u[pdate to prevent crashes. Is this update still avaiable?.
15.7.1 is the best.
You're not giving us much to go on, so good luck!
Hello,
thanks for your reaction. I will try to explain the problem. In my pc is
installed a RADEON HD 5870. A few years ago I had 5 crashes a evening. Then
there was a fix for the problem
and it works. Last month I had to reinstall Windows and lost the fix. Now I
have again 5 crashes an evening. So my question is: is that fix somewhere
available to download?
Thank you for watching my question. Rein Vedder

Re: radeon 5800 hotfix in Drivers & Software
What OS?
** Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 must be fully updated before attempting to install any AMD driver. All 'critical', 'recommended', and 'optional' (no language packs, etc) updates as well as any Service Packs (SP) must be installed before any attempt to install graphics drivers. If you do not get this message .... keep installing until you do:
Thanks, I'll check it out.

Re: radeon 5800 hotfix in Drivers & Software
By the way, OS is w10 and it was a clean installation. The installation of
w10 was a few days ago and the windows update says: your computer is up to
date.
So you may expect that the most recent updates were installed. Is there a
way to rescue the HD 5870 or have I to accept that the card is lost?
My grandson will be verry disappointed. I promissed him the PC.
Thank you for thinking about my problem.
