Hi,

So i was starting my new um790 pro today,

It has AMD Ryzen™ 9 7940HS Processor
And Radeon™ 780M Graphics

I downloaded the amd-software-adrenalin-edition-23.8.2-minimalsetup-230829
Installed everything, updated win 11 pro to max
But it seems "pci data acquisition and signal processing controller" driver is missing

Anyone can help?

tried also to install Adrenalin 23.8.2 (WHQL Recommended)
but driver is not to be found

can someone please point me to the right direction?

How to fix PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller driver?

Resolve Missing PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller Driver: Fixed

1. Solution 1. Manually update your Chipset Driver.
2. Solution 2. Update Chipset Driver Using Device Manager.
3. Solution 3. Use Bit Driver Updater to Download and Update PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller Driver.

Skip the last solution in using a 3rd party driver updater. That might install an incompatible driver.

Found the solution.. Have an Asus TUF A15 with a Ryzen 9 7940HS. The missing driver is for the AMD IPU Device. Downloaded the MS AMD IPU Device Driver as per this link and installed it. The PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller is now gone from Other Devices and under System Devices I now get the AMD IPU Device.

Maybe your "Solution" can also be applied to @YoavR  Mini-PC.

The AMD IPU Device driver doesn't seem to be part of either the AMD Graphics or Chipset driver set.

Am sure the driver will work for any Ryzen CPU that has the AI Inference Processor capability. You are 100% correct, it is not part of the AMD Chipset driver nor Adrenalin Graphics package. Not sure that AMD has any use for their Inference Processing Unit as of now but at least the correct driver removes the "Other" device (PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller) and correctly reports it under System Devices as an AMD IPU Device which says it is working correctly.
