I just bought an Asus RX 5700 last week and everything works great so far except for the audio over HDMI. I tried using my tv and its audio but there is a crackling or distorted sound. I tried different cables, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers with DDU and checking if my mobo was setting the PCIe slot to another gen but there are no options for it. It also seems to happen only when the GPU isn’t under load, as soon as I start a game the problem fixes itself or it gets even worse. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?
