It doesn't seem like AMD really cares much about the problem many have with missing resolutions. Ill bet its not on their list of priorities right now, which i understand. But to those who are having this problem ill add the solution i found to add virtually any VSR resolution up to the max supported (4k in most cases) to your card. Can this solution be added to fixes since it is a good solution and does work? It will save people the hassle of filling out a bug report. Ive filled out many (many months ago...also conversed with tech support) and AMD doesn't even seem to acknowledge the problem.
Solution:
Run REGEDIT
Find the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000
Add the following key value pair:
DALNonStandardModesBCD1 (type reg_binary)
08 00 04 80 00 00 00 60
10 24 06 00 00 00 00 60
12 80 07 68 00 00 00 60
14 00 10 50 00 00 00 60
13 66 07 68 00 00 00 60
13 66 07 68 00 00 00 75
13 66 07 68 00 00 00 85
13 60 07 68 00 00 00 60
At the end of all that, add your resolution (3200x1800), and tack on your refresh rate at the end with 00 padding in between.
Enjoy!
Its not an issue with my display device as were talking about resolutions above 1920x1080. VSR resolutions. EDID doesn't show resolutions higher than native. So 3200x1800 couldn't matter or have anything to do with what the driver polls. AS i said. This works for some drivers but not others.
I get what you are asking for but unfortunately asking in these forums isn't asking AMD these are just USER TO USER forums. So to let AMD know you have to file the support tickets.
You might try a fee app called CRU (custom resolution utility) it is great for adding non-native resolutions that are not native. This may allow you to then pick them in game. No promises but may be worth a shot.
CRU probably works, but I have a fix all ready and its far easier to do. And im not sure if it CRU works with VSR or not.
I was only wondering if this "fix" could be added as a sticky or to the common use problems in this forums. No big deal if not. People googling the problem usually will be lead here no matter what.
@ray_m or amdmatt
Ray is a mod for AMD for some reason I can't ever add him as a hyperlink so is Matt, you could message them with information you think would be beneficial to the community, I think they control the pinned messages. They also have an FAQ section etc....
OK maybe ill try that thanks
