Hi,
Ever since i have installed the recently purchased Radeon 6600 XT, i am experiencing audio crackling (it's the only way i can describe it) when playing games. I often have either a youtube video on or spotify whilst gaming and the crackling noise is pretty constant, but especially there when the graphics card seems to be working at least bit.
I am 100% sure it has to do with the newly installed graphics card. Never had the problem with my old 1070 and when that one recently died, i ran everything from my motherboard, also everything fine. The crackling is there since i have installed the 6600XT.
- Intel core i5
- Radeon 6600XT
- 16 GB RAM
- USB audio interface (ID 4)
- Some Asus motherboard
I've tried a couple of new things with interesting results. I have disabled AMD HD devices in device manager, no result. Also tried to turn some settings on and off in the software to little result (the crackling does seem less). Now here's the interesting part. I tried recording my problem by using the Radeon software and you know what? The problem disapeared whilst recording. The second I disable recording, the crackling imediately returns for at least a few seconds and after that intermediately like before.
If anyone has any idea what's going on here, i'd love to know.
So here's a link, the crackling is more noticable by the end
Also used DDU to unistall all previous drivers, no improvement unfortunately.
Guess i'm gonna have to sell the card
what happens if you limit the fps to 30 ingame?
It is not unknown that at high cpu spikes the sound starts to crackle.
No Solution just yet.
