I accidentally installed the AMD a9-9400 drivers but I have an AMD a9-9430, then i started searching up for those drivers but couldn't find them, i really need help
Solved! Go to Solution.
The reason why your APU is not listed is because it is a OEM/TRAY processor.
The Mobile generic AMD Driver you downloaded should work but may not be 100% compatible with your laptop.
I suggest you go to your laptop's Support download page and download the latest, even if it is out-dated, AMD Driver and install it and see if everything starts working normally again.
Use DDU in safe mode (best method) or from the Windows desktop to remove all traces of your current AMD Driver with the internet disconnected. Then delete the created AMD Installation folder at C:\AMD.
Still with the internet disconnected, run your laptop's AMD Driver from your Support download page. If it installs successfully, reconnect the internet and again delete C:\AMD folder.
I went to the support page but then i remembered the support app for HP and it had the drivers, thanks for the help
the A9-9430 will work fine with the A9-9400 driver ;)
I saw better performance in Photoshop, office, discord, but i cant play genshin any more
My pc have 6Gb of ram but before the update it ran at 20 - 30fps, now i cant even open it
mh, if you cant open it - what is the error message? what is in the windows error logs? what is in the AMD driver logs?
did you try to uninstall game and install again?
is your Win10 fully updated to 20H2?
