Goodmorning,
After driver installation i have issue with temperature hotspot 115°, during gameplay the computer shuts down because it goes into protection.
I can't run a benchmark despite the fans work at 100%.
before this update I always played 2k without problems, the hotspot temperatures never exceeded 95° when working at maximum.
I tried reinstalling the drivers but nothing changed.
These are the specs of my PC:
- asus z790 prime ddr5
- 32 gb ddr5
- cpu i5 13600
- gpu asrock AMD RX 6900 XT OC Formula 16GB

Have you tried rolling back to 23.12.1 to confirm the issue is with the latest driver package?
Have you submitted a bug report following any of the crashes to notify AMD of the problem?
yes i have done rolling back to 23.12.1 but situation dont change
Ok, so you didn't have a graphics card temp problem previously running 23.12.1, then you upgraded to 24.1.1 and noticed a temp problem, you reverted to the 23.12.1 driver but the temp problem is still there? If you feel the new driver caused the problem then why wouldn't reverting the driver resolve the problem?
I would suspect something else to be the issue. An overheating graphics card would not cause "during gameplay the computer shuts down because it goes into protection." Typical symptoms of graphics card too hot would be game lag and/or freeze, black screen, crash to desktop sure, but not shut down the computer.
Shutting down the computer sounds more like the power supply overload protection. What power supply are you using?
Try running OCCT CPU, GPU, & PSU tests. While the tests are running keep a close eye on Temps, Fan Speeds, and PSU Outputs.
Even if the PC shuts down or the test stops you might be able to see the data before the tests stopped or PC shut down.
In Radeon Settings - Tuning or Performance create a Custom Fan profile where the fans turn on at 100% at a much lower Hotspot temperature and see if that works or not.
Could be coincidence that GPU card started overheating after a driver update. Check to make sure you have good air flow circulation inside your PC and all of your PC case fans are working.
If you remove the PC side panel does it your GPU card overheat?
Make sure the GPU card fans are all working. Check each fan to make sure there is no or very little resistance when manually turning the blades with your finger.
Hey
I know this sounds weird but try rotating your pc case. Mine only operates cool with the fans pointing towards the floor (82c hotspot). Upside down it's hotter (95c hotspot) and horizontal it's total **bleep** (110c).
