Problem with my dedicated GPU on my laptop

Hello guys, I'm kinda new here and also superbly bad at troubleshooting stuffs so i hope someone can help me with this.

So, I tried playing Final Fantasy 14 on my laptop and i discovered that my screen would flicker and tear as per the attached photo.

Any idea on how i can fix this?? I also realized that my laptop is using my CPU graphics instead of the dedicated GPU as per the attached photo below.. Is that the problem?? Any idea how can i make is so that my laptop only uses the dedicated GPU if my laptop is plugged in??

Need some guidance/assistance please as I'm a tech dummy.. Thanks alot!!!

In Windows Settings - Graphics you can configure which GPU card you want to use for a specific game or program.

As for the tearing it could be a driver issue or a hardware issue.
