5700XT constant crashing.

I have a Red Devil 5700XT. I get daily hard crashes.

I have DDU'd, updated bios, reset stuff, switched power cables around, undervolted etc. There's no oc, everything is running stock speed and voltage. GPU is running with silent bios. I can play a game for 2 hours, then go look at a 3D model on tinkercad and then it'll crash. Sometimes i get flashes of a black bar at the top of the screen, but mostly it'll just hard crash.

PSU: RM750 from 2014.

I have no idea what is going on.

The reported driver that is presently installed is dated 25-01-2022, which is radeon 22.2.1.

So thats your problem you must get rid of that or your card will be crashing.

That's ok, at least you helped me narrow the issue. Now the next step is figuring out how to deal with this. I've had this issue for over a year.

And at no point did i notice those messages.

I dont know i think its some defect in card itself cus i have two cards with same symptoms. And my old rx 560 works ok and dont have that device manager event. My pc is prebuild and i have this problem from begining so its year and half now, lucky i stil have waranty.

I also have warranty on mine. I build it my self. Sadly, mine is a powercolor card, and they have the worst RMA service. It will most certainly be a huge pain in the butt.

But what leads you to believe it's a hardware issue with the card?

You also have a problem showing the network card, or the network card driver. Try to disable the network card in the device manager for the sake of interest. And try to play single games, if the problem repeats, it means something else, if not, then reinstall the network card driver. (Intel Intel(R) Ethernet Virtual Storage Miniport Driver for FCoE)

The onboard lan controller is realtek, and not "Intel Intel(R) Ethernet Virtual Storage Miniport Driver for FCoE"

But there's an event.

I sorted the network and audio device by removing their drivers and letting windows install it's own.

Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1462EB89&REV_1003\5&461271f&0&0001 was started.

Device PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_7B891462&REV_15\6&11bfdffb&0&0008020B was configured.

But that did not change anything for the GPU, so that one is still present as having a problem starting.

How are your CPU/GPU temps?

Have you tried a different power supply?

Make sure you are running separate power cables to each power input on your GPU

How is your cases airflow?

What are the rest of your PC specs?

Is your Windows install up to date?

Are your chipset drivers up to date from either Intel.com or AMD.com (depending on what you are running)

Have you tried reseating your GPU?
