i recently got my friend's pc because he built another one, and that pc has no issues running at all. But when i plug my dvi cable into the RX570 it doesent recognise my monitor, and i am using a normal DVI to DVI cable so no adaptors or anything. any one knows how to fix this ?

What resolution is your monitor and what DVI type and link cable are you using?

DVI-I single link tops out at 1920x1200 and DVI-I dual link max is 2560x1600.

Make & Model of your Monitor, DVI cable, Motherboard, GPU, CPU and RAM plus Windows and AMD Driver installed.

When you said your monitor is not recognized are you saying you have no video output during POST or can't enter BIOS due to no video output to your monitor?

Do you get video output after waiting awhile to see if it is booting into Windows or are you getting a Motherboard Trouble LED light that is lit up?
