Running a Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G with a GTX 970 - a good entry level solution?

Hi,

My old computer died yesterday, with the problem being either the CPU (i7 2600K) or the motherboard. Since neither of those are easy (or cheap) to come by these days, I'm thinking of buying a cheap pre-built PC from a local dealer. Money (and time, else I would build it my self) is scarce currently, so I'm looking at their cheapest option:

A Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G based system with dedicated GPU, 500GB of M.2 SSD storage and 16GB 3200Mhz RAM. I have an old nVidia GTX 970 from the dead computer I could stick in there, to hold me over until I'm able to buy a better GPU.

My question is, is this a good solution, or would the 4750G be useless in the long run if I'm going to buy a separate GPU when I can afford it? Will my GTX 970 be any use at all, or will the 4750G do the job as good alone?
I can save about $120 and go for a Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G instead, if that is a better solution.

Thanks for your reply!
