I just bought a 7900xtx and was running 144hz on my old nvidia card.

But with my 7900xtx i can only choose 120hz

Anyone know how to "fix" that?

What monitor? Some monitors are limited to 120hz with 10-bit color. With nvidia, you need to override defaults to use 10- bit color so 8-bit 144hz would have been the default.

I have a ROG-PG278Q so thats is for sure the reason why. Thank you for your time to help me out on this didnt know that

Did  you run DDU to clean out all past/present GPU drivers prior to making the GPU swap?
