Radeon VII memory crash - what can I do?
Hi!
quite for some time now I am struggeling with pc crashes (black screen, freeze, reboot) while playing games on high graphics.
So after many checks... I ended up at the OCCT5.5.0 testing tool. I ran benchmarks pushing my card to its limits but all stable... except the GPU memory test.
Here I can reproduce this kind of freeze / reboot of my PC.
So.. is the card broken?
Is there anything I can monitor / check more detailed?
Anything I can do in the Radeon Software?
ASRock Z390-I Phantom Gaming
16GB Ram
8700k
Catalyst 19.12.3 (also with 19.12.2...)

If it's a defective card, the only thing you can do is contact the manufacturer.

If the video memory was corrupted, you would see pixel distortions even on the desktop. Look for something different. In addition, video memory errors do not usually cause a reset problem. It usually just freezes, with distorted pixels. Try an old display driver that you are sure is stable. Do not use CPU OC. Do not change the WattMan settings for the GPU. Check temperatures for CPU and GPU....

if the video card RAM is faulty, then RMA the card or get a RX 5700 XT which is roughly as powerful
