R9 200 series Cannot connect a 2nd monitor

Hello friends, I have 2x R9 200 series (4gb each) with two 4k 60hz Samsung 27" LS27A70 monitors. I need to use the monitors with the laptop and with the desktop, at different times.

  • I want to use the 2x HDMI (of the monitors) in the laptop (using a hub and tested perfectly)
  • The problem is to use the 2x DP (of the monitors) in the desktop with the 2x R9 200.

For some reason when using the desktop, only one monitor works when connecting this way:

  • using DP/DP (one of each R9 200 card)
  • using DP/DVI (using the same card or both cards)

The monitor that works is connected with the DP port of the primary card.

I have tested all the cables and they work.

Any ideas to keep trying?

Use GPU-Z 'Lookup' to find exact card/s models would be helpful. then someone may be able to offer suggestions.
