No video signal after upgrading from RTX2070 to RX6800

Hi lovely people,
I’m upgrading from an RTX 2070 to an RX6800. The issue is I can’t get anything to display once I connect the 6800. To be clear: The GPU fans and lights turn on, but the screen does not detect any output.
I’ve sold the 2070 and am now troubleshooting with a working GTX 1060.

Here is what I have done so far:

  • Updated Win 11,
  • Uninstalled Nvidia drivers with DDU,
  • Updated UEFI to version F18a (July 23), which reset to factory settings
  • Tried enabling 4G decoding, forcing PCIE to 3.0 only
  • Tried using HDMI instead of DP (and switching to correct input on the monitor)

Here are my specs and display:
Aorus B550i Pro AX + PCI3.0 riser
Ryzen 5800X3D
2x16GB DDR4
Corsair SF600
Alienware AW3423DW (G-Sync Ultimate)

Misc info:

  • Both 6+2 power pins are connected
  • CSM is disabled
  • I did not find an option to force disable G-Sync on the monitor
  • Plugging in back the 1060 works without a problem

I would appreciate any tips or help you can provide!

It works now! Not sure what did it though. I set all PCIE is to 3.0 and switched back to the 6800. It must have been the riser!
