Hi everyone,

Happy new year.

I wanted to know if my gaming laptop Asus ROG Strix G15 with the below specs could handle games such as COD MW2 with a 5120x1440 resolution monitor (samsung LC49RG90) at a descent frame rate? Should i go for a lower resolution 3840x1080?

Specs:

Graphic card  : Amd Radeon RX 6800M / 12 Go

CPU : AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX

RAM : 16 Go (max to 32Go)

SSD :  1000 Go

I have also laptop of Asus but not same specification . The Performance of Asus is too good ..

i honestly dont know if those specs will be decent. But i have the Neo G9 which is the same resolution and I HATE gaming at that resolution. Not only does it make everything work harder to produce those extra pixels, you have to LITERALLY turn your head to see HUD or anything in the sides/corners of the screen . I play on 2560 x 1440 which gives the black bars but is more enjoyable. But if youre trying to get good frames you could turn on FSR in the Adrenalin Software and upscale from 3840 x 1080 to 5120 x 1440
