7900XTX shutting down my pc under load

my pc specs are

CPU ryzen 9 5900x
mobo X570-F GAMING
ram 32gb 3200 mhz
GPU just upgraded to a powercolor hellhound 7900xtx from a 1080ti
PSU corsair 1000W platinum
HDD 931GB Seagate FireCuda 510 SSD

when i run a rasterization benchmark on cyberpunk it runs fine to the end but the second i try a benchmark with raytracing my computer will shut off and wont turn back on until i turn my (UK) plug socket off and back on. with ray tracing turned off i can play for about 2 minutes before my pc shut off again. is my new card faulty or is 1000W not enough to power my system?

Usually ray tracing draws more power so I suspect a power supply issue or...

Do you have two separate power cables from the PSU to the GPU ? Running a single power cable with 2 connectors at the end will definitely cause issues on a 7900XTX.
