Why AMD keep resolution limit on VSR?

Good evening.

I wonder why it need resolution limit on VSR.

VSR is really one of cool features.

But it has a problem like a below line.

Radeon's VSR  has max resolution 5120x2880 while Geforce' DSR has resolution over 8k.

We must request continuously unlocking resolution limit on VSR.

How do you think about it ?

Re: Why AMD keep resolution limit on VSR?

Which GPUs are you comparing?
Please point to the GPU models.
Likely a VRAM RAM limitation or a limitation based on the type of output connectors available on the GPUs.
Thanks.

Re: Why AMD keep resolution limit on VSR?

Thank you for replying.

I have r9 280 and using cable is hdmi.

But always it is up to 2560x1440.

So This must be VSR resolution limit.

Anyone of GCN1 users has VSR resolution up to 3840x2160 ?
