RX 5700 XT Fan sensor issues (60000 RPM)

Hello.

Recently my 2 fans on the Powercolor RX 5700 XT GPU died. So i bought some replacement fans from amazon and replaced both broken fans. Fans are spinning again. But my issues is now:

  • When idling, fans are constantly spinning but not showing RPM on GPU-Z and adrenalin
  • when I start manual fan curve or the fans start ramping up because of the heat, Adrenalin software shows random RPM (sometimes 14, sometimes 60.000) but fans are spinning not that high/low.
  • GPU-Z shows also random Fan speed in RPM and also in % (800% speed sometimes.

Heat is not the issues. GPU is in the hotspot and on the edge around 40°C (since the fans are constantly spinning).  I tried manual fan curve, cold restart and fresh driver installation.

Specs:

Driver Version: Adrenalin 22.8.2 (fresh installed)
OS: Windows 10 64bit (Cold restarted)
CPU: Intel i7-4770
GPU: RX 5700 XT Powercolor
Motherboard: ms 7848
16 GB Ram

If you need more Info, tell me. I will do my best

this is while idling(Fans are still spinning)

and this is while manual fan curve (Fans are spinning constantly and faster. Fans are not jumping)

Sometimes I have 1900RPM and sometimes 6000RPM. both with constant 40°C and manual fan curve

Looks more like a gpu problem try another card with this driver, fan speed control is now in the GPU and not on a separate chip
