Hi all, hoping to try and figure out an issue with Direct X and Baulders Gate 3.

SYSTEM SPECS

-Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 7800 XT Gaming 16G Graphics Card

-Asus TUF Gaming B650M-E WIFI AM5 mATX Motherboard (TUF GAMING B650M-E WIFI

-AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8 Core AM5 4.2GHz CPU Processor

-DDR5 RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16gb)

BACKGROUND

- drivers are up to date via AMD hardwear auto detect toolkit

- Computer is approx 2 months old

- BG3 worked fine until approx 22 April

- I installed Valorant the night before it stopped working (not sure if relevant)

- computer is running Direct X 12

ERROR MESSAGE

FAILED SOLUTIONS

- Reinstall BG3

- reinstall drivers with DDU

- roll back driver's 1 and 2 versions

- boot in safe mode and try the game

- full hdd format

- reviewed Windows Event Viewer for issues

Please let me know if you need any more information to help diagnose the issue.

I have an average understanding of computers only and may ask for instructions on how to do things from time to time.

A couple of questions:

(1) Is the problem specific to Baldur's Gate 3 or do you have problems with other games and apps too?

(2) Have you disabled driver updates for Windows update?

Haven't found any other games with this error but only had the computer about 2 months.

BG3 was designed in DX11, not 12, so not sure how this plays into the issue.

In regards to the Windows updates, I've tried it both with and without. Windows updates were on prior to my HDD format and once I reinstalled Windows I turned the updates off and got the same issue.
