-Windows update is set back to it's default now, so it is mandatory when using DDU to disconnect the internet.
-DDU may be flagged by your AV as a PUA/PUP (potentially unwanted application / potentially unwanted program)

Isn't DDU a safe mode software, so naturally no internet is available
No....when you restart out of safe mode...to install the drivers,,you are connected. Read the post:
Recommended usage:
-You MUST disconnect your internet or completely block Windows Update when running DDU until you have re-installed your new drivers.
Just set active hours (Win10) to prevent spontaneous updating even for drivers - I remember this was a problem with Win7 but I never saw it on Win10
