Firestream Specs

Hi,

I need to know some hard facts about the RV670 Chip on the FireStream 9170:

I am seraching for the sizes of the Shared L1, L2 Read Chache and the Shared Write Cache.

What are the ALUs able to do: addition, subtraction, multiplication? Also Division? What about the logic functions?

Thanks in advance for any kind of help.

Hi m.wagner,

I think what is currently disclosable is what the ALUs can do.

Take a look at page 57, tables 4-3, 4-4 and 4-5 in section 4.8 of the r600isa.pdf file in the CAL docs directory. It should tell you exact what ops are supported on which of the units. Double precision is supported by performing a double-precision operation over x, y, z and w.
