Is there a BLAS implemented using BROOK+ (or CAL or something that works with the Radeon 4870)?  I work with some mechanical engineers and they would simply like to use BLAS + Radeon and get the advantages of GPGPGU processing - without having to rewrite a lot of code.

You might want to look at ACML to see if that solves your problems. The ACML team is working on a GPGPU version of their library.
